This is a heavy-duty, cotton coated polyester thread by Coats & Clark. Not only is this thread strong enough to resist breakage when assembling your dolls & crafts, but it's also great to use on items where the thread will be visible since the cotton coating will take tea/coffee stain or color washing very well.
I would use this color when a pattern calls for a button thread to match your gray fabric.
